Meet the Founder

Leela Horne

Founder | People & Capability Consultant

Woven Pathway Partners was shaped by both professional experience and lived perspective.My professional journey began in social work and human services, where I developed a strong understanding of people, relationships, community and the complexity that individuals and organisations can navigate.Over the course of my career, my work evolved into people and culture, human resources, leadership, workforce capability and training. This has given me the opportunity to work across both the human and organisational sides of workplaces — supporting people while also strengthening the systems, leadership practices and capability that enable organisations to thrive.I bring together this experience to look beyond individual issues and consider the broader picture: people, leadership, culture, learning, capability and organisational systems.As a neurodivergent professional, I spent many years of my career adapting to workplace expectations and masking aspects of how I naturally think, communicate and work. This experience has shaped my understanding of how capable people can be overlooked when workplace practices focus more on conformity than capability.I have also been fortunate to work with leaders who recognised my strengths, challenged and supported my development, and created space for me to bring my authentic self to my work. Their leadership continues to influence how I approach people, capability and organisational culture.My earlier experiences, including navigating different care settings throughout my childhood, have shaped my understanding of resilience, belonging, cultural identity and the importance of recognising potential beyond circumstances.These experiences do not define me. They are threads within the pathway that has shaped the practitioner, leader and founder I am today.I created Woven Pathway Partners because I believe organisations can create environments where people are respected for what they bring, leaders are supported to grow, difference is valued, and accountability and compassion can exist together.
